Benue commissioner, Wergba, is dead



Benue State Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr. Conrad Wergba is dead.



Wergba’s death was announced on state radio, Thursday, morning in Makurdi, by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Dr. David Salifu.

Salifu said, that Wergba died, Wednesday, in an Indian hospital where he had been undergoing treatment, in the last few weeks, for an undisclosed ailment.

The late Wergba who was a one time Commissioner for Information, hailed from Ushongo Local Government Area. He also served as Adviser to Governor Gabriel Suswam on Policy just as he served as Special Assistant on Special Duties to Suswam’s predecessor, Senator George Akume. Left to mourn him are his wife, Mrs. Theresa Wergba and two children.
