No big deal owing Keshi – NFF

WORRIED — Keshi

Amidst reports on the failure of the Nigeria Football Federation to pay the monthly salaries of Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, who is being owed for several months, President of the NFF, Aminu Maigari has explained that the situation in the Glass House was not peculiar to Keshi.

Speaking after receiving the Sports Administrator of the Year Award in Lagos, early in the week, Maigari noted that the financial situation in the Glass House was bleak. “Yes we are owing Keshi, so what?” he asked, adding, “but Keshi is not the only employee in the NFF who has not got his salary.

We have about 11 national teams and all have coaches. It is only fair that we treat them equally. My management staff have not received their salaries for over a year and nobody is making noise about it.”
He spoke further. “We have to be very careful the way we amplify this Keshi salary issue. If this is unduly amplified we will be downgrading our country,” Maigari said, pointing out that “apart from salary, Keshi doesn’t pay for anything.

“The house he lives in is paid for by NFF, the food he eats is NFF, his movement (transport) is NFF. So what are we talking about?”

It has been reported that the NFF’s indebtedness to all the national team coaches amounts to a whopping N77 million out of which N36 million makes up Keshi’s share.

  1. It's disheartening to hear an employer speak so disdainfully about his employee who has wonderfully well with his job. Only in naija sha to bad.

  2. Mr Aminu. Do you you know how to talk like a responsible civilised person. Please, which of your godfathers gave you that job because merit surely had nothing to do with it, unlike with Keshi. Please go back to your village and be useful there. You can farm or herd cattle.

  3. this is exactly why Keshi had to shout out, Aminu is talking as if they doing him a favour, ware all that not part of his contract, they should cover themselves in shame.

If we are to investigate them you will see that the same people who claim not to have money to pay have loaded their bank accounts, built houses and acquired land in Abuja!

  4. i hope the nff also pays the school fees and maintenance of his children and Family, and

  5. His response is very revealing. Full of bitterness and hatred for Keshi. That is eaction for not being allowed to recruit a white coach whom he will pay in dollar with his own cut. He has nothing to cut from Keshi's salary which informs his indifference. this herdsman does not know that the award he is getting is because of the success of his coaches. Mr Maicattle or Maigari or Maicow or Maillama should try to cover his wickedness and hatred when he speaks. From his words I can rightly assume that he is also blood thirty in nature and must never be allowed to come near our Keshi.

  7. I am very proud of you Maigari for presiding over an outfit that can be owed for one year and only one person is complaining. The staff don't have families and they feed on air.
You are supposed to be tied to the stake and shot one hundred times. Witch and idiot. I wonder how some of you ever came into the positions you are holding when you talk senselessly and shamelessly. You people mess up the administration of this nation and I wonder why you are not fired.
