Emmauel Matthew (50) was yesterday, arraigned before Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf of the FCT High Court for alleged rape of three pupils in his school.
Mathew, who is the pastor and General Overseer of The Choice Bible Church, Mpape, and proprietor of the primary school where his victims attended, was arraigned on a six-count charge of rape.
He was accused of having carnal knowledge of two seven-year-old pupils and a nine-year-old on different occasions in his school office without their consent, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 283 of the Penal Code.
Mathew pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge, while the presiding judge ordered the prosecuting counsel to amend the remaining three-count charge against the accused.
The prosecutor, Stalley Nwodo, urged the court to fix a date for the amendment of charges.

ReplyDeleteWhy are you always writing about negative things about the Church or about Christians? I have now known that the Nigerian Eye is the mouth piece of those that hates the Church. What that hee goat did is not new world wide. Other religious clerics also misbehaves. So stop calling one pastor today and another tomorrow. The Church of Jesus Christ will move forward and no gate of hell shall prevail against it! Any man who claim to be God's Servant but rediculed his calling and God, will be answerable to God only! Stop your crusade against the Church!
ReplyDeleteWell, it suffice any one who has sense to know that the path of this pastors is a croocked path. There is not a single day that comes and go without hearing either a rapist pastor or an armed robber pastor, or even gay pastors especially in international catholic churches. This things are every where!!! Yet we can't see them! Have never heard such a thing happening in the Islamic dorm! There are a lot of unanswered questions in this xtianity. May God help us.
