PICTURE OF THE DAY

This picture was taken 6-months after a Chinese firm, ZTE Corporation, reportedly completed the installation of Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The contract was awarded to the Chinese company for $470 million and under the Umaru Yar'adua regime. The contract amount was reportedly increased by President Goodluck Jonathan.

However, a few months later the cameras and the solar panels installed to back them up have fallen apart.

  7. We shouldn't expect much from Chinese... Our people can do better if encouraged and motivated by the government. Encouragement and motivation could come in various ways. Everything Chinese does is absolute nonsense. I pity those who inflate contract sums because a day... is coming. These things are pointing to Jonathan the areas to focus on for now rather of chasing 2015.

  10. It's not PDP issue. It's a general problem with most Niigerian leaders. God will send a Rawlings to Nigeria soon. Let us pray for change and forget about politics. Vote any other party into power, they will do same. Look at what governors from other parties are doing in their states. They are worse than armed robbers.

  11. Ha Nigerian make una wait and think, whenever a report comes let be objective, most of this things installed are being damaged by our own brothers driving recklessly and carelessly on the road. Observe the solar panel with the cement block by its side, a tipper caring cement blocks crushed this one. Pls stop peddling false news, in as much as I know that there are substandard product every where, our careless and recklessness as also contributed to the degradation
