Despite the glorious win over competition favorites, Ivory Coast, some fans are still mad at Keshi for his decision to remove Moses for Yobo towards the end of the match.
In what could have been an ugly scenario was averted by security men attached to the Media Centre at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, on Sunday evening when a middle aged Nigerian soccer fan, who attempted to attack the Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi, moment after the Eagles quarter-final match against Cote d’Ivoire, was arrested.
The man, who was wearing a Super Eagles shirt and brown trousers, was stopped at the entrance into the Media Centre, as journalists were moving into the hall for the day’s post match briefing with the coaches and captains of the two national teams.
NigerianEYE gathered that the man said his sole aim at the Media Centre was to slap the Nigerian coach for substituting Victor Moses and bringing in Joseph Yobo at the tail end of the match.
However with the help of security operatives an ugly scene was averted.
