West African Power-House Ghana was the first country to reach the semi-finals as they defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in an Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final Saturday thanks to a second-half brace from substitute Mubarak Wakaso.
Spain-based striker Wakaso was on the pitch only eight minutes before firing a low spot kick into the middle of the net as goalkeeper Vozinha dived to his left.
He also added a second goal five minutes into stoppage time.
