I feel like weeping for our fathers, brothers and friends but what else can we say. Duty calls. MAY God keep and protect them and also may God bring peace in Mali.

ReplyDeleteFirst of, Nigeria is never used as a training ground for boko Haram, they use places like cameroon, Niger and Mali for that, which means its important to dismantle such settings and make sure they have no safe haven to stage attacks on Nigeria.
Secondly, Boko Haram isn't holding any town or city, they hit and run, so its a long term battle, but those in Mali are holding towns and controlling it, which means they have to be dislodged.
Fighting in Mali won't diminish the fight against boko haram at home.

ReplyDeleteWhen we send our young men in harms way, we have a duty to ensure that government provides correct information when they die and they are brough home for burial. Do not allow a repeat of the Abacha and IBB ecomog of burial at Liberia and Siera Leone or bringing the officers in secretly. When they come back in coffins, they must be received by the military high commands and the presidency in broad day light and not like those who died as a result of crime that are secreted to their villages for burial at night.

The least family should earn 10 million Naira. I don't want ur family and dependant relatives' financial situation to worsen. Know that only u can provide adequately for ur people. Better a living poor man than a dead rich man. As soldiers made for nigeria, I will not be disturb if u are claimed by our war but dying in other people's country is not good enough. All the Big Brother nigeria has played in Liberia, South Africa, Ecomog has only ended in nigerians living in these countries being molested. Whoever sent out our soldiers to mali should pray and ensure none of them dies there!!!

But these particular captions have not placed them in Mali. They do not read “Nigerian Army paratroopers jump off an Alenia G222 plane IN MALI” or “Nigerian Air Force F7-NI AirGuard fighter jets IN MALI”.
He has not done anything wrong because he has simply shown us pictures of the Nigerian Airforce WITHOUT NAMING WHERE THEY ARE. Having public pictures in public blogs is not uncommon. It is you that is making the assumptions which the author cannot help. A bit careless of him, but not illegal. Definitely far from plagiarism.
Meanwhile, those other pics are real because we have seen them to be so on TV.
Give the guy a break.

ReplyDeleteIt's same story everytime nigerian contingent went for reagional peacekeeping, big sister role and @ de end nothing in return for the big sister politically, the francfone nation have no single luv for nigeria, you wll get to know this when it comes 2 regional poltical relevance, we dnt get any support 4rm french colonised nation. Nigerian govt should stop waisting masses tax monies for no gain wars. Also govt should communicate 2 nigerians how soldiers fared in war fronts, just like in sudan last time when rebels attacked nigerian women police based which caused severe injuries on some women but nothing like that mentioned in the media and the government kept mute on the incident.
