Ibrahim was arraigned on a three-count charge of rape, force and assault, contrary to Sections 283 and 265 of the Penal Code.
The charge sheet stated that the accused person used charm on the victim to make her loss her senses.

It stated that she discovered herself naked in the accused's room after he had had canal knowledge of her without her consent.
The sheet also stated that the accused gave the victim a black concoction to drink to regain her consciousness.

It added further that one Hammed Imam in accompany of others, who came to rescue the complainant, sustained grievous hurt when the accused hit him with a stick.
The court, however, did not take the plea of the accused person.

He told the court that investigation into the case was still ongoing and urged the court to remand the accused, pending the completion of the investigation.

  1. The accused person reported as Imam is not Imam because in your report you stated that he used charm and gave the girl concoction these shows that he is a ritualist because Imam as man of God cannaot do that, and this report is just to tarnish the good image of Islam,I am therefore advising you to be objective in your reports please.

    1. Imam is a Title. That does not stopped him from displaying his animalist tendencies, it also applicable to delvish Christian Pastors.

  2. Infact, the report is not correct. It was stated in the report that "....65 year-old Islamic cleric Akanbi Ibrahim for allegedly defiling a 15 year-old girl."
It was later stated that "......one Hammed Imam in accompany of others, who came to rescue the complainant,..."

Who is the rapist? Imam or Akanbi Ibrahim?

Also, you need to tell us how Hammed Imam came to know about the case.

Nigerianeye is known for being biased. For instance, on Thurdays one of your headlines reads "Honest Nigerian airline cleaner returns N7.35 million he found inside an airplane" but in the content, it was mentioned that "Mr Salami Lateef Ibrahim, found £25,000 and €5,000, inside a bag while cleaning...."

Why can you report it as "Imam returns..."

The same way you painted some pastors "BAD"

I think, the media should treat cases they way they are. Boko Haram stil have power because you people treated them as Muslims. They should be mentioned by names, cut them off all religion sets and very soon Boko Haram will be story.

  3. Mr man,is it that u are not literate or you just looking for trouble? That is why u muslims have been tagged aggressive..If a pastor committed this crime,no christian would say anything..But an imam committed a crime then it has become a big deal..he's human..He raped a girl..simple..Why are u particular about religion? Why asking the reporter to be "objective" about his reports?People like you are those that support Boko Haram..Better shut ur trap or don't comment next time...

  4. how can u accuse an imam of raping a 15 year old lady when the progenitor of his religion prophet mohammed (s.a.w) marries a 6 year old aisha and have sex with her when she is 9 years old the man is just trying to practice what he read in their holy book and he is even better at least he didn't have sex with a 9 year old minor like prophet mohammed

  5. If the Prophet( SAW) did what you said does it mean he did the same manner the accused person did his own. Maturity varies from country to country, therefore, what the prophet did was quite right at that time ( Girls at that time were suitable for marriage as from 9-year-old upward). Lawful marriage is different from raping and bear in mind that your saying that the accused was trying to practise what he read is very very wrong.

  6. All of una funny well well. Anybody can commit sin. Make una nor take am personal. Even una don commit fornication nor lie. and sometime una force the girl or boy, bcos dem nor talk am? abeg make we forget about being pastor or imam they have flesh and blood. sometime they can derail so dont defend them, you were not there. What if the imam said he did it, wont the first two commentators become ashame? WISE KING SOLOMON SAID ANYBODY REPLYING A MATTER BEFORE HEARING IT, IS FOOLISHNESS AND A HUMILIATION. I HOPE YOU WILL NOT BE HUMILIATED AT THE END OF THE MATTER

  9. i dont really care weather the guy is an imam or not, he should face the wrath of the law. no religion has monopoly of sinners. but i see that some guys are really misinformed about the personalty of the prophet(SAW),u really need to get ur facts straight and not rely on hearsays.i advice that u try and research better abt him individually and not take hookline and sinker what u r told abt dis man.A TRIAL MAY CONVICE U SOMEHOW!

  10. You should all throw sentiment away in this report, forget weather Imam or a ritualist I can confirm to you that I'm not a moslem but we have visited some imams in the past that does some serious jazz, if you were born yesterday some of us were not.

  11. Nigeria Eye your reports nonsense when it comes to Hausa Muslims, North or Islam you always put sentiment, why? You idiots instead of reporting sense you chose to bring confusion in the hearts of the God people of Nigeria. And most of your reports are full of errors and mistakes and contradictory. Better train your Reporters. Or ells…..

  12. 14. I in particular will not unsubscribe to Nigerianeye cos I also enjoy reading, but respect matters. You can not be calling Hausa-man or Islamic cleric did this or that. Why not use his name instead of mentioning Religion or tribes. Since we all now ourselves by Names. Please show little respect in your reportings we are all Nigerians and do not use Boko Haram as a tool of painting North or Islam black, cos it is all about Politics not Religion. To me it is only Politicians knows what they want to achive with this.

  15. Hey guys, lets not miss this. the issue is ...someone is alleged to have committed a grievous crime of rape. that person could be a criminal... our comments should not a another war between Christians and Muslims but rather constructive and educating.so guys, forget about religion and treat the real issue... a crime of rape on a 15 year old.

  16. The Imam should be convicted if found guilty.Rape, use of charm, shedding innocent blood and blocking of roads while praying is part of the religion S A W thought his followers. But every should remember God will bring every thing done both in open and secrete to judgement weither free thinker, muslem or christain.
