Senator’s wife kidnapped in Port Harcourt

The wife of Senator George Thompson Sekibo of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been kidnapped in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Sekibo’s wife, Mrs Asime George-Sekibo, was kidnapped along East-West road while returning from the University of Port Harcourt.

Mrs George-Sekibo was driving a Hummer Jeep along the road when she was ambushed by her abductors on Thursday.

It was also gathered that the hoodlums whisked her off with three other women and a child who were in her company.

Mr Ben Ugwuegbulam, Rivers state Police command spokesman, confirmed the abduction but decline to provide details.

" I have not yet gotten the details of the incident. I am waiting for it. I will furnish you with the details later.”
