Deadlocked: Labour Meeting with Jonathan, Sambo,Okonjo-Iweala and Governors.

The Negotiations meeting with labor has just ended in Deadlock.

According to the Labor leaders, compromise being worked out and there is progress, however, there is no agreement yet.

In attendance were NLC President, Abdulwaheed Omar, TUC President, Peter Isele and state governors, Senate President, David Mark, Governors Amaechi, Fashola, Oshiomole,Suswan, Peter Obi.

There are rumours that the government is willing to revert to N65 to go up to N105 at the end of march, while labour is insisting on a reversal to N65 to go up to N95 at the end of march.

The government argues that this will cause hoarding and scarcity,

Also, NLC is demanding that FG Cover funeral expenses of Ademola Aderinde, Muyideen Mustafa and others killed at the hands of Police during the Protest.

FG claims leaving fuel price at ₦65 until April would signal a scarcity with petroleum marketers stockpiling product until that date

we shall see how it will pan out.

  1. Nigeria, u are coming out of the dungeon that Satan and his agents plots to throw u into. I honestly sympathize with President Goodluck, and my prayer for u is that God will walk with u and deliver u from the mouth of the lions and vindicate u. May he cause your reign to be prosprous.

  5. It's a pity labour don't know what they want and more pity the people don't know what they want. So all along it has been a strategy to increase fuel price? My instinct has finally been confirmed that Jonathan was a wrong choice by Nigerians. What the government should simply do is revert to N65/litre, divest their interest in the refineries, scrap NNPC, scrap PPPRA, open up the sector for private investors to invest in production and refining of our crude oil here in Nigeria. Reverting to N65/L and not taking adequate steps to start refining in this country and not opening up the petroleum industry for private investors will lead to another sham call subsidy removal in the nearest future. Let the problem be tackled now or we will forever be slave in our on land!

  6. Nigerians ,we need to stop cursing our land and our president.
We need to a,ways pray for our leaders and people of authority so says our holy ooks.
If we curse our land, we curse ourselves.

President Johnathan in my opinion is wstking against not flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places
We need to pray for him to be able to do relevant things in this land
The way the man acts, does eveything wrong, says everything wrong just goes ro show theres more than ordinary dealing with him
I mean really,he really cant be this slow and naturally stupid.

Lets make it a duty to pray and bless Nigeria and pray these poeple make the best decisions for us and at the right time too
    God bless Nigeria

  7. IT IS NOT AN EASY THING TO GOVERN A CONUTRY LIKE NIGERIA, LET US PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS IN OUR COUNTRY AND THE NATION, IN GENERAL, BECAUSE SOME OF THESE PEOPLE MAKEING ALOT NOISE,ABOUT THIS GOVERNMENT, WHEN THEY VOTE THEM IN, THE SAME THING WILL STILL OCUR. SO WE NEED TO PRAY TIME WITHOUT SEASSION.

  8. Memo to Nigerian youths:
Mallam El Rufai has been riding the blogosphere and airwaves seeking to cash in on a spiraling revolt. It would be a grievous mistake for Nigerian youths to look up to the likes of El Rufai for leadership. He is part and parcel of why Nigeria is in the mess she is in today. In this case, the messenger is just as important as the message. El Rufai refuses to understand one word: CREDIBILITY. He has none. Powerful words are poor substitutes for character and credibility. Our youths are doing just fine without El Rufai. They don 't need to follow him, not even on Twitter.

  9. What is wrong with labour? reverting the price now & increasing it afterward to any amount above 65naira does not solve anything! the condition should have being that If the government insist on removing subsidy; the refineries most be functional with sign of building more, provide stable electricity, tackkle corruption in the oil sector, break the cabals, reduce national miscellaneous expenses & allowance of politicians, restore back into the national account money stolen by past ploitician & government. then subsidy can be removed even if jonathan achieve these before march. Goodluck can not remove subsidy & insist he want to use the money for national development consequently killing the majority poor masses, what is he doing with the budget?

  10. You see that the problem of Nigerian leadership is not only at the presidency? Even labor with all the brouhaha and bamboozle of unpopular protests should know better than not mentioning all these points as alternatives to the government. Now the question is: Is labor truly seeking for justice for the masses or justice of their pockets? They are probably the only ones who do not know that the exact opposite of what most Nigerians are clamoring for is breaking the cabals in the oil sector, reducing useless government expenses and allowances. Am sure they will dig their graves themselves if they attempt to accept such conditions.
