Don’t sleep on Eagles job, Taribo tells Keshi


Former Super Eagles defender Taribo West has advised the senior national team manager, Stephen Keshi to be more proactive in his bid to build a formidable team for the country ahead of the the 2013 Nations Cup and 2014 World Cup qualifiers next year.
West a reliable defender who took over the Eagles central defensive role from Keshi, argued that the two friendlies matches played by the Eagles were not a veritable assessment for the team players and therefore, Keshi should get down to work by scouting for talents and arrange for more of such international test matches. He added that virtually all the departments in the team needed fixing with capable and talented players. He however, urged that early preparation is the key if he(Keshi) must get a well deserved results.

“The Eagles tried in those matches but they are not there . Keshi need to work very hard in every department in the team and these must be achievable if he start early by scouting for players. Early preparation is the key to success.
“ Keshi should get his players early prepared so that he will get a well deserved results both the 2013 Nations Cup qualification and World Cup 2014,” West said in Lagos.
