TRENDING VIDEO: The moment Maryam Sanda was led out of the court after death sentence

A federal capital territory (FCT) high court on Monday sentenced Maryam Sanda, an Abuja resident, to death for killing Bilyamin Mohammed Bello, her husband.

Bello, nephew of Haliru Mohammed, a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was stabbed to death after a minor disagreement with his wife in November, 2017.

Sanda was arrested shortly after that and she has been facing trial since then.

The court found her guilty of killing her husband and she was sentenced to death by hanging.

Below is a video of correctional centre officials leading her out of the court:

  5. Did she even confess she really stabbed him before convicted for murder? Can't she be sentenced to life in prison instead of death by hanging, just for the sake of the child who needs the mother attention n who might grow and end up not knowing the real truth of her father's death and her parents traumas? All these political related matters can be really a foul play. She could be dying for a crime she knows not. Has someone really care to hear her out? Or simply because the boy's father was a PDP Ex chairman and power is just speaking/holding its ground. Hmmmm, God help us all.

    1. You’re very stupid for that statement, she that killed someone nko... if you kill someone better be prepared to be killed or how do you think her late husband’s family will be feeling. Do you know before she killed him, she injured him, he left the house for some hours and when she came back she was still angry then went ahead to stab three times.. this one deserves the judgement

  10. The stimulus package, we darkly suspect, will benefit only those to whom the money always flows-the already rich-while we, like victims, wait for someone to notice us, or, like prisoners, live on the crumbs of hope and the crusts of despair. death penalty essay sample
