Ogun spends N9 Billion on road construction in 2019



Ogun State Government said it had spent a whopping sum of N9.348bn between January and March 2019 on construction and rehabilitation of roads across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Works and Infrastructure , Kayode Ademolake, said this on Monday while presenting the budget performance of the ministry between January and March this year before members of the state House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation.

Ademolake said the development was part of the resolve of the outgoing government to sustain the ongoing infrastructural development to aid the socio-economic activities in the state.



He listed 31 roads which include Sagamu-Benin Express Junction and Oba Erinwole Junction Road which he said was at 95 per cent near completion.

Others are Ilo-Awela Road at 75 per cent near completion; OGTV-Brewery Road standing at 75 per cent; Erinjin-Oluwalogbon at 90 per cent; Ojere-Adatan Road at 86 per cent; Abule Ekun River Bridge at 90 per cent; flyover bridge at Lusada junction at 60 per cent as well as pedestrian bridges at Mowe, Ibafo and Panseke at 90 per cent amongst others.
