CAN warns Nigerian pastors against man-made miracles

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev Supo Ayokunle on Saturday warned men of God against man-made miracles, saying they would incur the wrath of God if they refused to desist from such acts.

The CAN president who spoke at a press conference heralding the convention of the Nigerian Baptist Convention in Ogbomoso, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to put all machinery in motion to address insecurity in Nigeria.

Ayokunle said, “On a serious note, if any servant of God is organising man-made miracles, saying God has done what he has not done, that person will go to hell. He is not of church of Christ. These are people whose bellies are their gods. They are not mindful of the things of the scriptures.

“I will admonish those who allowed themselves to be used for man-made miracles to behave better. And if you see any so-called minister of the gospel who is fond of organising man-made miracles, don’t patronise their churches again. Let their churches be empty, so that they can go and look for a better job.”

Speaking on the annual convention, which started on Saturday, the CAN president said missionaries from countries outside Nigeria and sister conventions from all over Africa would also attend the gathering.

He said Nigeria had not reached where it was supposed to be, but added that through ceaseless prayers, Nigeria would soon witness unprecedented glory and positive transformation that was desired by all.

  1. I tend to support the CAN President on the issue of ungodly prophesy giving signal that God sent them. Undoubtedly, all these so called prophet of dooms will soon find themselves in bad tastes. God will openly disgraced them and they will regret their falsehood. For year, I have been crying about these falsehoods and that God will show his powers on these evil missionaries. They mock their Creator thinking that He has no knowledge of their unchristian activities. God will certainly exposed them and very soon too. Those of them who have indulged themselves by enriching their purses through falsehood, will soon be exposed too, soon. I must mention the noble roles that the Baptist Convention has been playing over the years by educating it members by having the fears of God in all their activities. The Convention further went to the extend of exposing members who are involved in Secret Societies. These members have been expelled from the congregation. Other Churches should emulate the good spirit of the Baptist by expelling cult members from the Churches. I would equally recommend this discipline to the Muslim communities in Nigeria. All hands must be on the deck to flush out corruption in Nigeria. Come what may, Nigeria will surely regain her glory and join the committee of World's Progressive.
