Presidential Support Committee denies seeking lift of Okorocha’s suspension

The Presidential Support Committee (PSC) has refuted claims that it gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the All Progressive Congress to lift the suspension the party slammed on Governor Rochas Okorocha.

In a statement yesterday, the Director of Media and Publicity of the committee, Engineer Kailani Muhammad, said the publication credited to one Ejikeme Ugwa, Robert Ngwu and Maxwell Okoye was not written on behalf of the PSC.

Muhammad said the trio were neither assigned nor authorised to issue the order.

“PSC was set up primarily to compliment the effort of the party to ensure the re-election of the President Muhammadu Buhari and all other candidates contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that is why the Support Committee is not in any way having a conflict with the party, its leadership or decisions.

“While we disclaimed them in totality as an impersonator,  who have no authority to act or speak on behalf of PSC, we warn the general public to disregard them and avoid working or relating with them in any capacity on behalf of PSC,” he said.
