PDP’s Ortom on the verge of winning second term in Benue, extends margin over Jime



Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State is on the verge of retaining his seat for a second term as results of the Saturday’s supplementary election have shown him leading with a clear margin.

Before the rerun, Ortom was leading Emmanuel Jime of the All Porgressives Congress with 81, 264 votes.

With the results announced so far, Ortom have cleared all the polling units where the rerun took place.

However, INEC has adjourned collation of results to 10 a.m. today after collating results of 16 local government areas.
