OGUN 2019: APC defeats Amosun’s candidate, wins seven out of eight LGs



Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has lost his local government area, Abeokuta South, to the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun at the governorship and house of assembly elections in the state.

Amosun who had won the Ogun Central Senate seat on the platform of APC in the February 23 election, openly mobilised and worked for the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Adekunle Akinlade.

The ruling APC candidate, Dapo Abiodun polled 19, 414 to defeat Akinlade who scored 18, 767 votes.

Out of the results of eight council announced so far, APC had won seven while APM won one.
