Popular musician turned politician, Bankole Wellington, of the Modern Democratic Party, garnered 186 votes at the polling unit at the Victoria Garden City, Lagos, defeating the All Progressives Congress which got 167 votes.
Banky W, who is the candidate of the MDP, is a first-timer in politics and is contesting against Babajide Obanikoro, the first son of a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro of the APC and Bakare of the PDP.

11:34 PM - Despite a re-count of votes, Atiku defeats Buhari in presidential villa

The Villa has two polling units: PU 021 and 022.
Mr Abubakar scored 505 votes in PU 021 while the president scored 552 votes.
In PU 022, Mr Abubakar scored 525 votes and the president had 465.
In all, the PDP presidential candidate polled 1,030 votes against the president's 1017 votes.

Brave and vigilant voters have allegedly resisted an attempt by three persons to snatch a ballot box in Edo State.

The incident allgedly occured at Ugiomon secondary school, Ikpoba-Okha local government area, where ward 6, unit 44 are located.

10:53 PM -  Omoyele Sowore defeats Buhari, Atiku in his polling unit

Mr Sowore cast his vote at RCM Primary School, Apoi Ward II, Unit 005 in Kiribo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
In the final result, announced by the INEC presiding officer, Mr Sowore of AAC scored 208 votes, Muhammadu Buhari of APC scored 82 votes while Atiku Abubakar of PDP scored 11 votes.

10:40 PM -  Buhari wins in Bode George’s Polling Unit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday won the election in the polling unit of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s chieftain, Bode George.

George voted in his Ward E2, polling unit 001, in Oko-Faji, Lagos Island area and said the election was peaceful.

However when the results were announced by INEC officials, PDP lost the presidential election at the polling unit, scoring 40 while APC got 84 votes.

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured more votes than President Muhammadu Buhari at one of the polling units inside the presidential villa.
While the PDP candidate garnered 84 votes, Buhari who ran under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 73.

7: 44 PM - SDP presidential candidate, Donald Duke suffers disgraceful defeat in his polling unit

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party and former governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, has lost in his polling unit in the presidential election.

He scored only six votes while the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar won by 291 votes.

The APC candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari got 98 votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has emerged victorious in polling unit 001, Afao in Irepodun-Ifelodun Local Government Area.

The polling unit situated at St. David Primary School is the unit of former governor, Ayodele Fayose.

Sorting of votes started at 2:45 and this was followed shortly by counting.

At the end of the exercise, the PDP polled 225 votes while APC had 82.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Saturday won his polling unit in Epe for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ambode had voted at his polling unit with his wife around 10:01am at Ward A5, polling unit 033, Ogunmodede College in Ajaganabe Area, Papa Epe.

After the count, APC polled 131 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 116 votes in the presidential election.

There is no elections going on in some polling boots in Ezinihite Ward 16-11-12--022. Amaboshi (K22) polling unit, same situation also in three polling units in Mechanic Village near Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha's house.
The INEC officials came to the venue without presidential ballot papers and result sheet.
But the people refused to vote, saying, "No presidential ballot paper, no election."

The Presidential and National Assembly elections at Okota, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos were disrupted by suspected thugs.
Eye witnesses said the hoodlums came in about 10 motorcycles and forcefully dispersed voters, INEC officials and security operatives with weapons.
It was gathered that elections did not hold in some polling units as a result of the incident.

According to local radio reports, election materials have been seized at Wards 4 and 12 of Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State amid heavy shooting. Transport minister Rotimi Amaechi's Ubima Community is in Ward 4. The trouble reportedly started just after Mr Amaechi left the PU8 where he voted.

An aide to the minister said: "I just got that" when asked to confirm the incident.

Apart from Mr Amaechi, a former governor and PDP leader, Celestine Omehia, is also from the area.

Millions of Nigerians march to the polls to elect a new leader to lead the most populous black country for the next four years.

A total of 73 presidential candidates are participating in today’s election. However, the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP appear to be the clear favorites.

All of Nigeria’s 109 Senate seats and 360 House of Representative seats are also for grabs across the 36 states and Abuja. A total of 1,904 candidates are taking part in the senatorial elections while 4,680 are seeking seats in the House of Representatives.
