‘If Buhari is so vengeful, why is your daughter still at Aso Rock?’ — Keyamo tackles Galadima on live TV

Festus Keyamo, spokesman of President Muhammadu Buhari re-election campaign, has tackled Buba Galadima, Buhari’s ally turned his critic, over his claim that Buhari is vengeful.

Speaking when the duo appeared on a Channels TV programme on Sunday, Keyamo said Galadima’s daughter will not remain Buhari’s aide if the president was vengeful.

Zainab, a daughter of Galadima, works as special assistant to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

“Alhaji Galadima, if President Buhari is so vengeful and so divisive, what is your daughter still doing in the Villa?” he asked.

“Your daughter works with the President in the Villa, what is she still doing there today?”

Keyamo said Buhari is an unusual leader who has “managed to navigate his way through the middlemen” and “has reached the people directly in this country.”

While speaking earlier, Galadima accused Buhari of fighting the opposition in the name of an anti-graft while ignoring corruption among his cronies.

“This government we have today is a government of exclusion, nepotism, bedeviled by corruption, and has no single achievement in Nigeria,” he said.

“In Kano, you have seen the president raising the hand of a corrupt individual, a corrupt person that the whole nation has seen taking bribes, they are talking of corruption, that man belongs to them.”

He added that Atiku Abubakar, PDP presidential candidate, will defeat Buhari “60 to 40 on the minimum.”

“The only place it would be 50-50 is Katsina. In the south-west, I want to say with certainty, the Yoruba people respect their leaders, they will not vote from sentiments,” he said.

He also alleged that the Nigerien governors who joined the APC campaign rally in Kano state “are already telling us that they will bring aliens to vote for them.”
