Call Buhari and concede the election -Dele Momodu tells Atiku

Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, has urged Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to concede the election.

Writing via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Momodu asked Atiku to call President Muhammadu Buhari and accept defeat.

He made the call when the result of the presidential election are still being collated. In the 18 states announced so far, APC has won in 10 while PDP has won in eight.

Momodu, a known ally of Atiku, told the former vice-president that he has “much more to gain” if he concedes.

“My dear WAZIRIN, as a believer, you are aware that only God can give or take power. You’ve written your name in gold,” he wrote.

“Do not wait a minute longer. Please, pick that phone and call President Muhammadu Buhari. You have much more to gain Sir… Pass on the burden!”

In 2015, former President Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat and congratulated Buhari while the results were still being announced
