Former President Olusegun Obasanjo
and Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), took the campaign for next month’s presidential poll to Island Club in
Lagos on Wednesday.
Both men, who were in charge of
the nation’s affairs between 1999 and 2007, took time in convincing members of
the club on why they should vote against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Senate President Bukola Saraki,
who is the director-general of Atiku’s campaign; Uche Secondus, national
chairman of the PDP; Jimi Agbaje, governorship candidate of the PDP, were among
the key politicians at the event.
