The Abia state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, has taken a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s promise to create jobs if he emerges as Nigeria President in the 2019 general election.

Atiku had on Monday via Facebook and Twitter unveiled his campaign manifesto/policy document entitled, “The Atiku Plan” which promotes restructuring, privatization, Job creation, infrastructure development and poverty eradication.

Reacting to the agenda in an interview with newsmen on Friday in Umuahia, Nwankpa said, “All these are mere propaganda, mere celebration of falsehood and hypocrisy from the PDP. Why did I called it a hypocrisy? PDP had been in government since 1999, they wanted to create jobs. How many did there created then?

“PDP has governed Abia state since 1999, what can Abia boast of? The presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was a former Vice President, who was not just a Vice President, he was the chairman of Commercialization and Privatization of industries, federal agencies and parastatal in this country.

“Before he talks about what he can do, let him give us the record of what he did when he headed that privatization committee? I don’t know why we should be celebrating failed people.”

The APC chairman added that, “Atiku is no threat to the personality, image, integrity and corresponding quality of President Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari when he visits any African countries or America, you will know Nigeria has come of age.

“Nigeria is no longer the country that asks of fire brigade approach in African, continental and universal policies. Nigeria under Buhari, has come back to regain her lost pride in the international affairs.”
