The Presidency on Tuesday
described the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, R-APC and 38 other political parties as a
“coalition of corruption”.
R-APC, a faction of the ruling
All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding
with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other parties ahead of the 2019
general elections.
The main objective of the
agreement which has been generating reactions from all corners, is to defeat
President Muhammadu Buhari at the polls.
However, in her reaction, the
Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta
Onochie, on her Twitter page, stated that the coalition formed against Buhari
is full of “partakers and defenders of corruption”.
She wrote, “Coalition of
Corruption = Corruption United People’s Party(CUPP)
“The CUPP of corruption is now
full with the coming together of disgruntled partakers/defenders of corruption.
There’s hardly anyone of them who has no question mark on his head.
“Nigerians have gone past the era
of following corrupt leaders. Congratulations Buhari.”
What of your own party? You are all the same. When you see opposition you start playing the corruption card. Most of your party members have corruption allegations against them. He that comes to equity must come with clean hands.
