Jonathan, not Buhari prosecuted Dariye, Ngilari – Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government didn’t charge and prosecute former Governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye to court.

Omokri, however, said it was ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration that charged and prosecuted Dariye and Nyame.

Dariye was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the FCT High Court sitting in Gudu, Abuja for misappropriating N1.1billion state’s fund.

Recall that a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory headed by Justice Adebukola Banjoko last year found Nyame guilty of corruption.

A tweet from the ex-president’s aide on Wednesday reads: “Joshua Dariye and Bala Ngilari, the 2 PDP members recently jailed for fraud, were charged and prosecuted by Jonathan’s PDP govt.

“It was not the @MBuhari govt that took them to court. Ask yourself if it is possible for Buhari to do to APC members what Jonathan did to PDP members.”
