Security chiefs on Wednesday
appeared before the Senate over the proliferation of dangerous firearms and
spate of killings by terrorists and hoodlums in Nigeria.
Their appearances followed a
resolution last week by the Senate as a result of the mass killings across the
country.
Heads of security agencies seen
at the chambers, as at the time of filing this report are those
of Defense and the Department of State Services, DSS.
Again, the Inspector-General of
Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris, was represented at the Senate.
NigerianEye reports that
immediately they were allowed into the chambers by the Clerk of the Senate, the
Senate President, Bukola Saraki ordered for an executive session.
