Reps summon AGF over Saraki’s CCT trial

The House of Representatives on Thursday summoned the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami to explain manipulation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal case involving the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.


In a move apparently designed to save the legal system in Nigeria, the House via a motion promoted by the Minority Whip, Rep Yakubu Barde, PDP, Kaduna, entitled:”Need To Ensure Sanity In The Legal Administration of Justice System in The Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria By the AGF’ was overwhelmingly carried by the lawmakers.

Rep Barde who led the debate observed that”the AGF is instrumental to this unwholesome saga playing out in our administration of justice system.
