Former Minister of Aviation, Femi
Fani-Kayode, has slammed the Federal Government for refusing a former National
Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, to seek
medical attention outside the country.
Metuh appeared in an Abuja Court
on Monday on a stretcher .
Fani-Kayode wrote on his Twitter
page: “Olisa Metuh is denied the right to travel abroad for medical care and
forced to go to court on a stretcher?
“Kassim Afegbua is declared
wanted by the Police simply for issuing a statement on behalf of IBB
criticising Buhari?
“What has this cruel herdsman
turned Nigeria into?”
Recall that Metuh is standing
trial for alleged money laundering of N400million. The money is part of the
funds linked with former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
The politician was stretchered
into the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, following the threat by Justice
Okon Abang to revoke his bail if he failed to appear in court on Monday.
