Tinubu speaks on absence from Buhari’s dinner

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bolaji Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to his absence at a dinner hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari, on Thursday, had dinner at the Presidential Villa with some party chieftains.

In attendance were former governors of Sokoto, Kano, Abia and Enugu, Senator Aliyu Wamako, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Orji Kalu and Sullivan Chime respectively.

Tinubu, who spoke to Punch through his media aide, Tunde Rahman, said, “There shouldn’t be any issue about this at all.

“Why are you trying to make a mountain out of a molehill?

“If there was a need for Asiwaju Tinubu to attend the dinner, he would not hesitate to be there.

“He had attended many meetings and dinners at the Presidential Villa before when it was required of him to attend.”
