Wike has set up a trust fund of fifty Million Naira for Miss Purity Anthony
whose parents were killed in the Omoku Massacre on January first.
Purity Anthony who is less than
one year also sustained gunshot injuries on her left thigh during the incident.
Governor Wike stated this during
a working visit to Omoku, the headquarters of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local
Government Area.
He warned that the State
Government in collaboration with security agencies would do everything possible
to bring allies of the Late Don Wanny to Justice.
Governor Wike also warned the
Local Vigilant Group in Omoku, known as OSPAC not to terrorize the community
but sustain the relative peace enjoyed in the area.
Governor Wike advised
multinational companies operating in ONELGA to implement empowerment programme
promised the people to curb youth restiveness.
He also advised the youths to
protect oil facilities in their domain and report any breach of security to the
necessary authorities.
“And for all those of you who
have been running away, continue to run away we will find you.
“And those of you that are here
wearing black don’t turn to a terror group and form another Don Waney. See what
you can do to move ONELGA forward.
“I am watching you. My eyes are
on you.
“I have told Agip that they
cannot continue to play politics with the economy of a people. I have told
Total, enough is enough,” Wike said.
Caretaker Chairman of
Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Mr Osi Oliseh said the crisis in Omoku
devastated the community.
Recall that the Minister of
Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi also visited Omoku last weekend.
