Obasanjo had on Tuesday lambasted Buhari over poor government .
Reacting to the statement, the lawmaker, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, commended Obasanjo for his statement, saying it is beneficial to Nigerians.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, Awaji-Inombek stressed that the former President’s statement was meant to re-focus Buhari’s administration towards addressing issues that affect majority of Nigerians.
Awaji-Inombek noted that the former president was qualified to make observations over governance in Nigeria, Africa and the world.
The lawmaker urged the present administration to take it in good faith.
According to the lawmaker, the statement expressed the feelings of many Nigerians, especially the less-privileged.
“His write-up is also about the reality and temperament in the country.
“It is coming from a General like him; it is also left for the General that the letter was sent to, to look at it, study it, understand it and act within his own purview,’’ he said.
