Obasanjo’s letter ’ll enhance Buhari’s victory in 2019’

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged not to see former President Olusegun Obasanjo as an enemy based on the former’s recent letter to him but to take the issues he raised as a challenge to prove political pundits wrong in 2019.

The National Coordinator for Buhari Solidarity Movement, Ovo Ofigo, who stated this on Saturday, said if Buhari desired a second term, he should take issues addressed by Obasanjo in the letter seriously.

Obasanjo had in the letter advised Buhari not to seek reelection while accusing him of nepotism and failure of revive the economy among other things.

Ofigo, who disagreed with Obasanjo that Buhari should not seek reelection, noted that Buhari should see the Obasanjo’s letter as an opportunity for him to succeed.

The statement titled “Failure is an opportunity for determined people to succeed,” posited that the letter should energise Buhari to emerge victorious in 2019.

It stated, “This Obasanjo’s outburst will definitely contribute more than 40 per cent to President Buhari’s electoral fortunes in 2019. Those of us who are Buhari’s apostles via the Buhari Solidarity Movement are pleased with the development.”

  1. You are joking. Are you the one that will vote? Even if you manipulate the election results, as the almighty God liveth Buhari will not return to that seat again.

  2. Many of us are sympathetic to APC, thoughtful PMB remained same of Buhari/Idiagbon saga of zero tolerance (indiscipline), such we committed wholly, unreservedly to his electioneering and victory recorded. It's of regret to see for a horse rider opting, descending to a ride on ass,as scene of absurdity. There were much enthusiasms at inception with expectations of better governance distinct from the old swine days. The economy drives the polity, and not a relative significance is impacted upon the mass. The federal system as practicable is unique, different from unitary gestapo that wields tall orders at whims and caprices. Then 'Baba Owu' missive is a testament, thought provoking, largely a compass of navigation. I think very sincerely to share the lots of Baba Owu as regards factored flaws in present governance.
