Daddy Freeze attacks Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo over message on tithing

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has again questioned the concept of tithing as preached in most churches.

Freeze, on Tuesday, gave a poser to the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo.

He asked: “are we Melchizedekians or Christians?”

Ashimolowo had tweeted: “Jesus is our High Priest after the ORDER of Melchizedek. If Abraham brought tithes to Melchizedek the High Priest, we, the seed of Abraham must also bring our tithes to Jesus, our High Priest.#ThePowerOfTheTithe.”‎

Freeze replied and asked: “So how come Jesus never collected tithe & how come no one ever ‘brought’ tithe to him or disciples? Are we Melchizedekians or Christians?”

Recall that Freeze also kicked against giving first fruit offering.

  1. Daddy Freeze, read what JESUS said in Matthew 23:23. HE HIMSELF says we should pay tithes. If you won't pay your tithe stop asking other people to do what they feel lead or know to do. You are doing a dangerous thing.

If a man or woman believes that by paying tithes they are paying it to GOD, who are you to question their actions done in faith? Remember what ever isn't done in faith is sin - Romans 14:23 and Christianity is a faith based relationship between man and GOD through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. For by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is a gift of GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast - Ephesians 2:8,9.

That a pastor is eating monies that people have given to GOD in faith is not your business. Since GOD is GOD HE will defend HIS NAME. GOD will judge in the end. After all, the pastors ambushed what was sent to GOD and GOD sees and knows all things.

My advice? Back off from this matter. If you seek clarity study your BIBLE prayerfully asking the HOLY SPIRIT to teach you.

    GOD bless.
