Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has criticized the statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari that he is not in a hurry to act on herdsmen killings.
President Muhammadu Buhari had explained that he was being guided by historical antecedents, noting that such was the reason he was not in a hurry to take decisions on the killings in Benue State.
Reacting, Omokri described Buhari’s statement as most insensitive to the scores of Nigerians being attacked by herdsmen.
According to him, Buhari should have been impeached in a serious country for making such statement.
In a series of tweets, he wrote “The most insensitive comment President Buhari has made since his 97% versus 5% comment is that he is in no hurry to act on killer Fulani herdsmen.
“In a serious country, Buhari ought to have been impeached by now. Herdsmen kill your citizens and you say you are in no hurry to act!”
