The Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday described as an unpardonable national embarrassment, the appointment of deceased persons as members of various federal boards by President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress administration.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, said in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, that the development had further confirmed PDP’s position that the APC “administration is completely confused, disorganised and grossly incompetent. “

He added that Nigerians can now see the level of recklessness and shoddiness inherent in the management of the nation under the APC.

Ologbodiyan noted that the situation has further exposed why the nation’s economy which he said has been in shambles under the APC and wondered how a government which cannot tidy up a routine issue of board appointment for over two years can successfully take on complex issues of governance.

He said, “Nigerians can now see why the nation’s economy has been in shambles in the last two years. When we say that this government is completely inept, some Nigerians did not know to which level, but now they do.

“This inability to tidy up a simple issue of list of 209 appointees has completely exposed the extent the APC government is bereft of simple organisational skills to manage a country like Nigeria, which is in dire need of development.

“How on earth can a government that cannot compile a common list handle intricate issues of national planning and budgeting; issues of health, education, aviation, agriculture, infrastructure and management of the huge civil service?

“How can they possibly initiate and successfully implement national and international instruments for national development in today’s competitive world?”

Nigerians tear president apart for appointing dead folks into boards
      President Buhari (Egypt Today )

When president Muhammadu Buhari announced the appointment of 209 board chairmen and 1,258 board members late Friday, dead folks also made the cut.
It’s an embarrassment that has since gripped the nation and got everyone on social media talking.

Chief Donald Ugbaja who was appointed member of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC), died on the 29th of November, 2017.

Reverend Christopher Utov who was appointed member of the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research, died in March of 2017.

But that didn’t stop Utov—once the proprietor of Fidei Polytechnic—from getting a job in the president's bureaucracy.

Francis Okpozo, a second republic senator and a former member of the BoT (Board of Trustees) of the APC, was appointed board chairman of the Nigerian Press Council.

The problem is that Okpozo died in Benin City on Boxing Day of 2016 from an illness; with his family even getting a condolence letter from Buhari.

  4. PDP, let me tell you all the home truth. When you came into power, Nigerians did not claim that you are angels and neither did you prove to be one. All any right thinking Nigerian could prove about you especially having tested APC is that you are competent. However, when APC came into Power, Nigerians did not claim that they are angels but they claimed to be so only for any sane person to prove that they are totally incompetent.

Now, the hen has now come home to roost-APC is totally incompetent as the plunge Nigerians into abject poverty, crises and increase of insecurity. All these could be blamed on an uneducated president provided for Nigerians by the APC.

To buttress this point, any right thinking Nigerian will recall that when the Hypocrite Obesenjo was in Power, he ended fuel crises, and term the high increase in exchange rate, Yaradua and Johnathan continued in the trend. But when APC took over, they plunged Nigeria into economic recession in a twinkle of an eye only to stop the multiple effect of the recession on the survivors (who only get used to it) and claimed an achievement. They (APC) also cause an excessive increase in the exchange rate which they met at N195 per dollar to now about N350 all in a twinkle of an eye only to claim success in stabilizing it; and you tell me, is it suppose to be increasing from where you met it or decreasing for success to be recorded? The APC is full of a bunch of incompetent people and history will not forgive them.

Having said that, no passenger, will like his aircraft to be piloted by an incompetent pilot who claim to be an angel but rather he will prefer a competent pilot who is not an angel. Hence, it is appealing unto you (PDP) to put your house in order first so as to be able to take over the mantle of leadership from APC come 2019 for Nigerians are perishing. This is because Nigerians still count on your experience and competency.

Your internal crises is what put Nigerians into these present bad situation otherwise, I see no reason why APC would have taken over power from you in 2015. So please, put your house in order.

Believe me sincerely, with this present situation,if you (PDP) put your house in order and come out for a vote in 2019 against APC, no right thinking Nigerian will forget his sorrow and vote for APC.
