Dozie Ikedife, former President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo has maintained that Biafra can never die or be forgotten by people of the South East because it has become their identity.

Ikedife, who is the convener of South East Elders Forum, noted that Biafra is very important to some people from the South East.

Speaking on Friday in Nnewi, Anambra State, Ezeife stressed that nobody wants to forget their identity.

Noting that no true, “Oduduwa or Arewa, would accept to forget their identities,” Ikedife said anybody who tells a group of people to forget their identity would be giving a wrong piece of advice “probably based on wrong perception or wrong understanding of what the agitation is all about.”

The former Ohanaeze President also noted that he had always advocated that the issue of actualizing self-determination for the Igbo would be accomplished through dialogue, diplomacy, non-violence, legal means and operating within the law.

He said, “These are people who met in the South Eastern part of West Africa in an area now called Nigeria when the Portuguese explorers of the 15th century came calling during their exploration of West Africa.

“Note that in any situation, anybody sitting comfortably would like the status quo to be maintained. On the other hand, anybody not sitting comfortably would call for adjustment. This is basic.

“They call for restructuring. We have to define what we are restructuring, to what extent will it go. Will it be far enough to remove all these traces of discomfort in the system or will it just be a perfunctory alleviation of the discomfort?

“We must understand that. And until the inequality, marginalization, uneven distribution of patronages, infrastructural development, unemployment, economic empowerment, accommodation or systematic exclusion are addressed, the agitation up and down in this country will certainly not abate.

If you’re inside a bus even in Cotonou,Togo and Ghana and not talking about Europe just this three countries and the Police ask you which Country are you from first of all you will be so much skeptical to mention the Country you come from because the result of that name will be mess to you even there citizen has no respect I mean single respect for Nigeria’s these are the people we claim to be better off but they enjoy the most social amenities especially Ghana they enjoy rule of Law even Politicians don’t mess up the law will teach you a lesson of your life they enjoy 24/7 Light, water freedom of speech and freedom of press as well, In Ghana you will see a political party lost to opposition for complete 8 years that party will remain formidable fighting to accomplish their mandate which they promise to the masses and they will do that if they win power a very good example is the ruling party now NPP they spend 8 years fighting opposition promise free SHS which then ruling party NDC said is not possible to accomplish that in 21 century but final on Tuesday

Why I copy this article for those that will argue over what am saying right now whether is true because our Nigeria Politicians baffles me the more every day by day I keep asking my self is this a curse or just what how can a political party in Nigeria Lost power Immediately half of that party that lost power join the new ruling party it surprises me till date and makes me to ask questions? Since you have dump your own ideology and promise which you made to the people and enter into a new party how then can you accomplish your political dreams to your people? NPP PARTY in Ghana lost power for good 8 years all the members of the party stick to what they believed and promises to the people that any day any time they assume office again they will deliver to their promise which they finally did Now I ask Nigeria Politicians What happen to your own Ideology and promise which you made to the people did you forget that the party you join now has manifesto and that can never change because of your urge to be in ruling party meaning your promise and ideology as a politicians is dead on arrive to that new party.
