Money keeps missing under Buhari’s watch – Pastor Akinrinlola

Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola, the President of Council of Concerned Youth of Nigeria (CCYN), has questioned why several sums of public fund have regularly missed under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch.

According to him, it was not an offence to constructively criticise Buhari and keep his government on its toes to forestall the unprecedented looting of the treasury through award of contracts and lack of due process.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Akinrinlola said: “I do not like the type of Nigerian who always attaches political sentiment with everything.

“Yes! Some of us are well known for constructive criticism against president Buhari and APC government. It’s all for the best of Nigeria to always put any ruling government to her toes.

“But some of you who see us as opposition voice must also know that they are not honest and true to themselves when most of the time they see every criticism against Buhari and APC government as error or partisanship.

“People must also be educated that stealing of money, embezzlement of funds or corrupt practices are not done via bank withdrawals or by taking away physical cash from government vault, but through award of contracts and lack of due process.

“Under Same Buhari, Oil money to the tune of $2.8bn was missing as at when our Naira was still having value. That reminds me of the song of Fela Anikulapo of blessed memory.

“Again, as PTF Chairman, $500m was also missing which led to the collapse of PTF till date.

“Now, as President and Minister of Petroleum, $26bn is missing and you said people are not educated for asking question. You said a serving son of God has committed sin for speaking out his mind.

“Some APC stooges call me a political Pastor all because I am used to speaking against the propaganda of this current government to always cover their wrong doing and divert public attention from their corrupt practices.

“What manner of Nigerian are you if everything you see about Buhari and APC is all correct?

“Why is money always missing under Buhari?”

  3. What pastor said is what majority of Nigerians who are sincere to themselves say. Because you can not pride yourself as a government that is determined to fight corruption, a government that is always chasing and harassing formal government functionaries including former First Lady but serious corruption is being perpetrated under your watch. It is quite shameful and portrays nothing but nepotism as simple as that. Your SGF used hundreds of millions of naira to cut grass @ the north east and you kept quiet. If not that senate cried out, the man would have remained in aso rock uptil 2day. Even as he was suspended, has anybody arrested or tried him? The letter written by kachichukwu was dated 30th of August. More than one month the letter was written, and he was denied asses to see his principal (president). And Mr President kept quiet since then Imagine! Me and you know very well that president only summoned him to the villa just because the letter has leaked to the public. It would have been swept under the carpet like many others. The gospel truth is that there is no sincerity in this government. In the history of Nigeria, there has never been nepotism, hatred, tribalism, hate speech as we all witness in this government. Any fool defending this government should hide his face in shame.

  7. Buhari is a tyrant, hypocrite and the most corrupt Nigerian ruler. He’s just very deceitful. The so-called Nigerians should wake up from their slumber. Buhari will steal Nigeria dry with his illiterate cabals and also Islamize the country. He has nothing to loose. He's already a dead man and want to accomplish his utmost desire before he perishes into hellfire.
