Asari Dokubo, a former militant
leader who is presently a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in
the Niger Delta has reacted to this weekend's reported invasion
of Nnamdi Kanu's home by the Nigerian military.
According to him, 'I feel
very sorry for the military people. I think the professional army should not
allow itself to be used in the way the army is being used now.
"Naturally the
army ought not to be going around knowing that whether they go to Nnamdi Kanu's
house or not people will interpret it differently.
"An institution like the
army needs to be sensitive to the interpretations that will be given to their
actions'.
