Reno Omokri, former aide of
Goodluck Jonathan, has slammed Minister of Information and Culture, Lai
Mohammed for accusing the opposition parties of sponsoring the Indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB).
The former presidential aide
urged the minister to face his duty by giving occasional briefings to
Nigerians, and not propaganda.
In a statement on Tuesday, Omokri
said Mohammed should stop blaming Jonathan for the unfulfilled promises of the
All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said: “If the government in
which Lai Mohammed serves, knows which opposition members are sponsoring IPOB,
then they should identify them, arrest them and then prosecute them.
“Ever since Lai Mohammed made his
ill advised statement, a principal member of the All Progressive Congress
government and the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, has come out to say
that the actions in the Southeast are troubling and some of it are
unconstitutional. Is he also sponsoring IPOB too?
“It is our suspicion that Lai
Mohammed is talking from history seeing as he criticised the Jonathan
government for banning Boko Haram in a statement he released on June 10, 2013,
even though the Jonathan government had gone through due process before
proscribing that murderous sect.
“Perhaps Lai Mohammed thinks
everybody is like him and those he represents. Let me say again to Lai
Mohammed, the time for propaganda is gone. The time for blaming Dr. Goodluck
Jonathan for all the unfulfilled promises of the APC government is over.
Nigerians are no longer buying it.”
Omokri said the Buhari
administration has spent the last two years “blaming”, instead of “building”.
“Rome may not have been built in
a day, but from day one you could see evidence of builders building up Rome.
But what have we seen in the last two and a half years of the Muhammadu Buhari
administration? We see a government that from day one has been blaming instead
of building,” he said.
“Finally, I seize this
opportunity to remind Lai Mohammed that under the Jonathan administration the
ministry of information had annual ministerial briefing where the media and
civil society groups interrogated cabinet ministers on the activities of their
departments.
“100 days briefing was given to
Nigerians on the government’s vision and one year briefings was given to the
nation on government activities. An elaborate mid-term briefing was also given
by that government to the country on the achievements of the administration.
“Lai Mohammed should think about
these as information minister and should know that he is minister for
information not minister for propaganda,” he added.
Lai Mohammed knows so much that he now lavks the capacity to distinguish information from propaganda.
ReplyDeleteDuring GEJ era when PDP was desperately exploring every unimaginable and absurd strategy that they could use in discrediting the Presidential Ambition of PMB, they decided to explore the propaganda of labelling PMB as the one who vowed that Nigeria will become ungovernable if he should loss the 2011 Election.

PMB is fighting corruption (When the Righteous Minded Bears Rule, the People will always have hope and the Nation will earn it's well deserved respect among other Nations), the Nations Economy that was destroyed is gradually being repaired and restored, several PDP Era Atrocities and Other PDP Era Acts of Treasury Looting and Plundering as being exposed on virtually daily basis.
Now, it appears the only Strategy available to PDP and their Cohorts that they can use in fighting PMB is by Systematically making the Nigeria Ungovernable for APC and PMB.
Through PDP's Strategy of making Nigeria Ungovernable, they have floated IPOB (people should carefully go through the history and background activities of Nnamdi Kanu), sponsoring all manner and forms of Civil Unrest, raising Militants and all sorts of Criminality in a Democratic Dispensation.
Henceforth in Nigeria, PDP and their Cohorts should be held responsible for all forms of Societal Unrest that threatens the Peace of Governance in Nigeria.
We give glory to God that despite all their manners of evil and devious strategies, God has helped Nigeria so far. We can see the light down the tunnel, God has helped us out of Economic Recession that PDP and their Cohorts irresponsibly and brazenly steered the ship of dear Nation Nigeria into.
This Change shall indeed work for Nigeria by that special grace of almighty God and to the shame of every hidden or visible enemy of progress in Nigeria.
May God complete the deliverance of Nigeria from utter backwardness in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
May the Lord continue to frustrate and reduce to oblivion all the known and secret enemies of Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.
May the Lord erase all the known and secret enemies of Nigeria like human fart in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.
Who is mumu do u smoke with ur anus, what has PDP has to do with some people agitating, did IPOB kill any body, did they stone Buhari or did they prevent security operative to carry out their jobs, sometime it seems that some of comment without reading, Buhari condemned Godluck when he started fighting Boko Haram calling it anti-northners, Lar general condemned fight Boko Haram when state of emergency was declared there, do u go through history before making ur point, I see u making pointless point if u do not know what to next time just skip and go to another news if still have data for that thank u!
