The Senator representing Kaduna
Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has described former President
Olusegun Obasanjo as the father of unarmed robbers in the federal legislature.
Sani stated this in reaction to
Obasanjo’s allegation that the National Assembly was made up of unarmed
robbers.
The Senator told the Punch:
“Sometimes, it is easier for people to criticise the National Assembly than to
criticise the Presidency because if you want to criticise the government, you
are targeting Buhari, but if you are attacking the National Assembly, you are
giving relief to some people.
“I know very well that Obasanjo
cannot call me as an individual that name. We have been in the same prison with
him; we wore the same handcuffs; we were jailed together with him. Certainly,
if Shehu Sani is an unarmed robber in the National Assembly, then he is my
father because we were in Kirikiri (Maximum Prison, Lagos) together.
“So, he is the father of an
unarmed robber.
“As far as I am concerned, I
believe that his problem with the National Assembly started during his own time
(as president) but there is a different generation of members of the National
Assembly now. These are not the members that he had issues with.”
Shehu Sani, did you hear what Itse Sagay said recently about you so-called senators? Think properly before you begin to spew nonsense on individuals who served this country enviably. Until your (senators) earnings are published you will remain ethically unable to speak on corruption.

WHY HE DENIED ABACHA LOOTS WAS THAT HIS OFFICE AS PTDF CHAIRMAN WAS USED FOR THE SYPHONING. ASK HIM TO PROBE IBB, THEN YOU WILL HEAR A LOT ABOUT SAINT BUHARI. OBJ MAY NOT BE THE FATHER OF UNARMED RUBBERS, AS ALLEGED BY SANI, BUT HE IS SURELY THE GRAND FATHER OF PUBLIC FUNDS THIEVES IN NIGERIA.
