Earlier today, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba
of the Federal High court Abuja gave INEC an order to continue with the recall
process of Senator Dino Melaye.
Members of his constituents had in June signed his recall register and sent to INEC. Dino then approached
the court to stop the process.
However, the court this morning
dismissed his application and gave INEC the go ahead to continue with the
recall process.
Dino took to his Facebook page to reaction to the judgment.
Read what he wrote below...
My great people of Kogi West
Senatorial district of Kogi state,in the face of obvious persecution and
appealable judgement of the Federal High Court,Abuja, today.Let not your heart
be troubled. Lies will never overtake or conquer TRUTH.
The presence of the
Kogi State Attonery General and Commissioner for Justice in Court today over a
matter that Kogi State is not joined as a party shows the clear collaborative
efforts of INEC and Kogi State Government.
However,these combined efforts of
Governor Yahaya Bello,INEC,top Federal Govt Officials and top Security agents
to harangue and stampede me out of the Senate against the will of Kogi West
constituents will fail woefully.
He who is with me from above is greather than
all of them put together.I will not stop speaking truth to authority.kogi State
Govt must pay workers salaries and pay Pensioners.
We can not all sleep facing
one side of the bed.We shall overcome this temporary shenanigans in the long
run.
We will neither sleep nor slumber on this.I use this oppotunity to thank my
dear constituents for their abiding love for and confidence shown towards
me.God bless you all.Imole Dey! Okunkun parada!
Senator Dino Melaye,
Senator representing Kogi west.
Senator representing Kogi west.
Politicians only call on God when they have been cut red-handed or when they are in trouble. but will forget there is God when they are stealing money. The God that the masses are calling when they are suppose to get the benefit of good government but the money diverted is bigger that the God you are calling.

ReplyDeleteAm surprised at a Senator of the republic of Nigeria for some stupidity found in their brains. Instead of appealing the judgement on his recall, he went straight to his fb wall ranting and calling on the same God who sees you living like a king above the people of your Constituency. Are you trying to intimidate them? Sorry, most of them don't even have fb account.
ReplyDeleteI think this chap will be the first senator to be recalled in the history of democracy in Nigeria, too bad.
