Alleged ritual killer,
Ifeanyichukwu Maxwell Dike has been remanded in Port Harcourt prison.
The 200 level student of the
University of Port Harcourt was arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in
Port Harcourt on a one-count charge of murder of an eight-year old Chikamso
Mezuwuba.

declined jurisdiction to hear the matter and ordered that the case filed be
referred to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.

thereafter adjourned the matter indefinitely.
Speaking outside the court,
counsel to the accused, Lezina Amegua said he was in court to ensure that
justice is done in the matter.
On her part, the Chairperson of
the International Federation of Female Lawyers, Antonia Osademe, said FIDA is
involved in the matter to ensure that all those who participated in the killing
of the girl face the Law.
“We are going to be holding brief
on this matter until the complainants have a counsel that can prosecute this
matter.
“Our interest in the matter is
simple, we will follow this matter to its logical conclusion and we will ensure
that everyone involved in the killing of that little must face justice,” she
said.
