Buhari’s aide, Garba Shehu is a sycophant, comedian – Ezekwesili

A former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, has lambasted presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, calling him a sycophant and comedian.

Ezekwesili said the president’s aide will do better as a comedian in a Nollywood movie.
She was reacting to the recent article by Garba Shehu titled ‘A President’s 32” TV’.

Ezekwesili gave her reaction in a series of tweets posted on her Twitter handle, @Obyezeks.
“@GarShehu Why not move over to Nollywood and write scripts for their movies? Can’t you folks learn that GOVERNANCE is a SERIOUS MATTER?

“Our public officials fail to#Benchmark what they spend their time on against their contemporaries in say, emerging economies. It’s tragic.

“When information comes out from the stable of the President of a country, Citizens should want to take it SERIOUS. STOP YOUR COMEDIES pls.

“The sort of Genuflecting sycophancy that you, .@GarShehu have written on the Pres @MBuhari makes it DIFFICULT for you to TELL HIM THE TRUTH.

“No one who works with a leader&spends their time “singing their praises” is of Value to them. FACE YOUR WORK, people. FACE YOUR REAL WORK!”

  2. Mama Obby, u are not right! If Garba is projecting our dear President as somebody living a simple life style I don't know d headache dat has given u. He didn't live in a 50 room mansion on hill tops and u don't see dis as exemplary even to younger generations then u are a hypocrite.

  3. If a president who just returned from medical treatment abroad can allowed doctors in his country to go on strike, then who cares. UK government do not allow their doctors to go on strike while he was the. What is corruption?

  4. First it was rats in d presidents office. Now it's about his 32" TV.

Honestly I think we have more crucial issues to spend time advertising. If Garba Shehu had even made the president watching the match the priority, I believe it would have been more laudable. If he had made the fact that all monies due the team were duly paid before d match hence the outstanding result. It would have made more sense.

We saw a Buhari drinking tea with 20 naira Milo during the campaigns. We have also seen that same Buhari wearing a 7 million naira watch.

If you want to engage in propaganda, please be intelligent about it. This just looks like desperate attempts to portray the president in a humble light. Why did you not show us d one his was watching in London, or better still the TV in his main living room.

Any way na waka pass I Dey.
