VIDEO: Buhari provides proof he met with Ojukwu

President Muhammadu Buhari has posted a short clip of him meeting with Chief Emeka Ojukwu.
The video has been uploaded via Buhari’s official Twitter page, as arguments started all over social media, after he mentioned that he met Ojukwu in 2003.

In the clip, the two men are seen shaking hands, during the meeting that took place in the President’s hometown of Daura.

“In 2003 after I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in my hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analyzed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country must remain one and united.

“Nigeria’s unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddle others with the responsibility of bringing back order, if necessary with their blood,” Buhari had said during his nationwide broadcast on Monday.

Some Nigerians were not convinced the meeting happened and felt it was all propaganda.

  1. Nigerianeye, this video contains nothing. Even if Mumu Buhari met wit late Ojukwu and had this talk as claimed by Buhari, for crying out loud Ojukwu is dead and long gone , Ojukwu does not feel the pains of what the living are passing through daily in the hands of the feudal north . How can a dead man determine our future ??
This Buhari is a moron and simpleton, it doesn't make sense what he is talking

  2. Buhari is not a moron as you have opined. Aside his claims of meeting Ojukwu, there's at least one video online where Ojukwu openly admitted that it's in the best interest of all that Nigeria remain a single entity. And don't sound as if it is only the easterners that have been marginalised in Nigeria. Many of us suffer same, but are weighing on other options to bring good to our people rather than referendum or violence. Restructuring of Nigeria is one good alternative, and there are several others. Nigeria can be great, we can all achieve this together. Separation only reduces our strength. Let's stand together. I'm for one good Nigeria.

    1. It is your right if you decide to sleep over your right to continue to accept your marginalization. When another decide to pursue his right you should not see him as your problem. It is a matter of choice. But I prefer not to lay back when I am being cheated so that it will serve as a deterrent for others not be done the same wrong.

  3. Whether he meet Ojukwu or not, Remember Ojukwu is dead, whatever discussion is dead now, let there be a fresh agreement for the living.

  4. Nigeria does not have to disintegrate to solve the problem of marginalization. What we need is true federalism with power adequately devolved to the federating units. These threats of violent breakups are at best, irreligious. I agree in toto with the President's stance on the indissolubility of the Nigerian state.
