Reno Omokri reveals how president called Nigerians ‘fools’

Former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, has faulted the explanation given by the Presidency on why President Muhammadu Buhari is working from home.

Following his return from London, where he spent over 100 days treating an undisclosed illness, the Presidency had said Buhari would have to work from home.

The Presidency claimed that Buhari’s office is undergoing renovation because of the activities of rodents while he was away in London.

In his reaction, Omokri described the claim as a lie, stressing that the Presidency was taking Nigerians for a “fool.”

Omokri, who took to his Facebook wall wrote: “The Muhammadu Buhari administration must think we are fools for that story in TheCable claiming that the President is working from home because his office is being “renovated”!

“Surely, they could have come up with a better Lie than that! President Buhari was away for 104 days yet it is only when he came back that they started renovating his office!

“That they expect us to believe the renovation of office lie shows their level of intelligence and why our economy crashed within 6 months of their coming into power!”

  1. The president can work from anywhere if he so wishes as long as he is in the country period

  2. Yes na...he can even work from inside Ikoyi cemetery in these modern days of the Obamas and the trendeaus and the Putins. Let's continue to ask the ancestors of Mugabe's to lead our country and watch how we progress. After all, all his expenses are paid in luxury with a waiting presidential jet from tax payers money. The rest of the country can continue in the abject penury of an economy without clear direction. However be rest assured... not everyone is fanatically stupid. Nigerians are in the average very smart people.... time will tell

  3. His media handlers are doing a bad job. Just say the truth. We understand that the President just got back & is entitled to take it easy, which may involve working from home. Simple truth does it, not foolish lies that will aggravate issues. They lack intelligence

    1. Use your sense please, nobody is condemning Mr. President working at home. What will condemn is the lie from the presidency saying the office of Mr President was taken over by rodents. They thought we are fools. They should have told us the simple truth that the president is not yet strong enough to work in the office,we all understand that

    2. Exactly. The reason why APC have the audacity to tell us rodents ate up ogas office and other lies is because of fanatics like Shehu Abubakar who accept everything they are fed by their leaders. This reminds me of a mental case called Stockholm syndrome

  10. No idea about the management of Mr President's office but I'd advised that he be allowed to work at his frequency meanwhile until he recovers completely. We need him for the corruption matter and correction of his mistakes

  11. PMB will be more relaxed working from home than in the office now because the stress of the office will be too much for a recuperating individual. I think President's aide should adopt saying it as it is although there is need to manage information properly otherwise, some mischief makers will take advantage and go to town to cause unnecessary disaffection among Nigerians.
