According to the UK Telegraph, the Gunners have received a big boost ahead of the new season, after the Ligue 1 side dropped their interest in Sanchez, following the world record signing of Neymar.
PSG were looking to sign one of Neymar, Sanchez or Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe this summer and have already secured the signing of the Brazilian from Barcelona in an astonishing £200million deal.
Sanchez is still wanted by Manchester City, but manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear that he would rather the 28-year-old runs down his current deal, than sign for a Premier League rival.
Bayern Munich, who also held talks with Sanchez’s representatives, have already backed off because of his wage demands.
