Ohanaeze Ndigbo reacts as Arewa Youths withdraw quit notice to Igbos

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, has lauded Arewa Youths, after they withdrew the quit notice given to Igbos living in the North.

In a telephone chat with The Tribune, Ibegbu said it was a welcome development.

“The withdrawal of the quit notice is a welcome development. I am happy that the Arewa youths have to realise that it was wrong in the first instance for any person or group of persons to issue a quit notice to any group to leave Nigerian territory.

“The Arewa Youths got it wrong ab initio as they have no constitutional right to sack Ndigbo from their area.

“I am also happy that the present administration has said it without any equivocation that every Nigerian is free to live in any part of the country.

“We have to remind ourselves that injustice, marginalisation, among others, led to hate speeches and restiveness in the land.
The present administration should try as much as possible to address the perceived political imbalance to stem further agitation across the country,” he said.

Spokesman for the coalition of Arewa Youths, AbdulAziz Suleiman, said the withdrawal was as a result of series of consultations and pressure from different groups.

He revealed that the Northern Governors through their chairman and Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as well as Northern traditional rulers, the Director-General of the DSS and some officials of the Presidency, influenced their decision.

Are u kidding me? Just read the above quote Mr. AbdulAziz Suleiman and how does it sound in ur ears? That the withdrawal of the nonsense, senseless, irresponsible quit notice from one's father land by some irresponsible thoughtless people was done UNDER pressure? So u are not convinced that such an action of quit notice is a bad one that shouldn't have been ventured into in the place? So, u didn't go back and think about each action u took after taking them to see if it's a right one even if u didn't think before u take it? Who doesn't go through their actions at the end of each day to see whichever was right or wrong for appropriate corrective measures? U had to be pressured into the withdrawal of such evil divisive quit notice and u are so PROUD to say that the withdrawal was under pressure? Are the words, "under pressure" supposed to cover up ur shame of withdrawal of the quit notice? The quit notice that could have cost hundreds of Nigerians if not thousands their lives? And u are here saying that the withdrawal was under pressure. But thank God for everyone smart, peace loving, and true Nigerian that pressurized u to doing the right thing. I'm sorry, this is shameful, VERY shameful. Such quit notices demand u to bury ur heads in sand for shame but on top of that, u are claiming that the withdrawal was not as a result of conviction of guilt or wrongness BUT of pressure. This kind of statement is out right bad and should be condemned by ALL Nigeria loving people. This is not to say that I'm backing up the call for secession or threat of separation, not at all. And I'm not an Ibo man but what is wrong is wrong and whatever is right is right and this ur statement is WRONG and is not paired with any wisdom at all. If u are wrong, learn how to acknowledge and accept wrong with integrity, without conditions that show pride in evil. U are not perfect so u can make mistakes and no one is, and that's why we make mistakes but how u deal with the mistake is very important. But I know where this problem of arrogance comes from, it's the COMMON problem of human nature called SIN. No human being can see or accept their wrong except by grace, God's grace and that one too is a way of God showing us His mercy. It's not easy to see or accept one's mistakes, and even tougher accepting corrections, and all these are still the human nature. When human nature stands in the way, there can be no progress because everything about human nature is about SELFISHNESS, just I, me, myself, and mine. And for this country Nigeria to genuinely change and positively move forward, this ruthless human nature must be dealt with severely. For a change to manifest in Nigeria, this sinful human nature must be killed and the bad news is that, we can not kill that human nature, we can't even suppress it, it's not self destructive because that's who we are BUT the good news is, there's help that can help us to destroy that evil human nature, the help that is more powerful than the human nature itself and that help is Jesus Christ God's Son. Part 2 continues..

He is the grace of God to humanity, He is that very present help in need. We all need that help to help us drive out and destroy that evil human nature. If we can accept Him as the only help of God for humanity, then we shall no more be driven by evil human nature and then, the I, me, myself, and mine will stop. Then the God kind of love will overtake our hearts and then our purpose will be based on love, genuine love, love that's no more driven by selfishness of purpose of I, me, mine, and myself. Then only then shall we experience a true and genuine change, a change of system that transforms Nations, a change of Nation where an Hausa or Fulani people will stand up and fight for an Igbo man, a Nation where people, Yoruba people will give their lives for the betterment of the Igbo people, a Nation where the Igbo idigenes will love, regardless of past ill-treatment against their community, a Nation where a Yoruba or Ibo men will become part of the Northern governors because they are Governors there, a Nation where it becomes difficult to differentiate Aboki from Ngbatngbati and from Ndigbo. To build this kind of Nation depends on one thing alone and is on what we do with Jesus Christ God's Son and not on RELIGION or self will power but on Jesus Christ and that's the good news. But the benefits of accepting Jesus Christ is not limited only to nation building but for the purpose of eternity because without Jesus Christ, u will not enter into God's kingdom. No, no, no, it's impossible to enter into God's kingdom in the absence of Jesus Christ in ur life, not a story but a matter of truth. Try Him and u will begin to experience such a joy and love u have never seen before. As usual, and as u accept my advice, be blessed inJesusChristname, Today Friday 08252017 @ 1:25pm.

  5. Ohanaeze is not speaking on behalf of the Igbos, they are speaking for their pockets while the entire Igbo race wishes to leave Nigeria
