Northern leaders asked us to give Igbos quit notice – Yerima

Alhaji Shettima Yerima, leader, of the Coalition of Northern Group (CNG), has claimed that the October 1 quit notice issued by Arewa youths to Igbos residing in the north had the backing of prominent leaders of the region.

He made this disclosure in Lafia, during the zonal meeting of the Coalition in Nasarawa.

He explained that in June 2017, a group of prominent northern leaders met with members of Arewa youths to take the position.
“On June 6, 2017, a group of leaders from the north came together to deliberate on the situation in the country.
“After their deliberation, we realised the need to make a statement on the activities of the Biafra agitators in the country”‎, he said.

As the deadline draws closer, he said the group would soon meet to take a stand on the next line of action.
He said the Kaduna declaration was in response to the Biafra agitation.
“We cannot fold our hands to watch an individual hold this country to ransom.
“We can’t allow an individual insult our leaders and play over our sensibilities,” he said.

He said the quit notice was a signal to Kanu and his group that Nigeria cannot be undermined by a single individual, even as he described Kanu as a frustrated human being seeking political relevance.

    3. You are too daft and unintelligent. Even if you don't know how to spell words, you should at least copy the spelling of full from my post, goat.

    4. WOW!!! I can't believe that someone would make such a statement like this, that North is full of leprous and blind people. This is insensitive and outrageous, it is evill to its core. U are just blessed that u don't live in a region as such but that doesn't give u any audacity to say things like that. This is one of the reasons this country called Nigeria is going down when we take grace for self acquired strength. U are what u are by His strength and there's nothing anyone has that has not been given to him. And again, the response of another region full of cultist, kidnapping, prostitutes, and armed robbers is not welcome. We will not always win but we must always be enduring. There is blindness, leprosy, prostitution, armed robbery, kidnapping, militancy, and cultistism all over Nigeria. Tell me any Nigerian region when one or more of the challenges don't exist? That's no news but we should join hands to eradicate such from our society rather than using them to attack each other. The village where I came from in Nigeria, there was a case of leprosy there, at least I knew of a man with the challenge of such disease and it didn't make me happy and I'm from the South. So, it's not a good idea nor is it wise to hit each other below the belt in such a manner. We must stop those types of hurt if this country Nigeria must go forward in healing. And that leads me to the REAL solution, which is ACCEPTING Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Unchanged or unregenerated hearts will speak in the manner both of u are speaking and u can't help it but to show what's in u. Evil, jealousy, retaliation, revenge, abuse, looting, fight, pride, selfishness, killing, godliness and godlessness are the contents of any unchanged or unregenerated heart and it's ONLY Jesus Christ that can change hearts and that's why He is paramount in our changing Nigeria because there can be no changed Nigeria without changed hearts. Trying to change Nigeria without the changer of hearts is just a wasteful effort. Have a change of hearts and there will be a change of system that will manifest a changed Nigeria. Accept Jesus Christ today, not only for a changed Nigeria but for ur personal person, for eternal security and hope. As usual, Today Tuesday 08152017 @ 4:17pm.
