Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has lashed out at the Presidency over the non-disclosure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ill-health.
Ezekwesili, who was a Minister, under the administration of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, said the Presidency should focus on disseminating adequate information about the President’s health to Nigerians.
The former Minister gave the call while faulting the Nigeria Police Force for attacking some protesters yesterday in Abuja, who demanded the return of the President or he resigns from office.
In a series of tweets, Ezekwesili, said she is sure that no amount of police brutality would stop people from protesting.
She wrote: “Let the CURRENT IG of Police and his FCT Commissioner know now that they can NEVER DEFEAT citizens exercising their constitutional rights.
“I can’t think of the # of times one has called out Aso Rock for its INCOMPETENT public information management on health of President Buhari.
“So rather than Police brutality, Aso Rock should become transparent about the status of our President’s health right now. Urgent
“WE know Areafada1 Charles Oputa well enough. He won’t stop. Aso Rock and Police better engage citizens transparently on Muhammadu Buhari ‘s health.”
