Members of the #ResumeOrResign
group have reacted to an attack on them at Wuse Market in Abuja on
Tuesday.
Deji Adeyanju, a co-convener, in
a statement said they were “attacked by known supporters of President Muhammadu
Buhari while on a visit to Wuse Market”.
He said the attack was
spearheaded by a member of the pro-Buhari support group that often meets at the
Unity Fountain.
He noted that, “This attack was completely unprovoked. This is the third in a series of attack carried out against us using a combination of policemen and paid hoodlums.
“It is saddening that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would rather commit scarce national resources to such underhand tactics than give full disclosure regarding the health of the President.
“We reiterate commitment to remain resolute in demanding full disclosure regarding the state of health of the President.
“It is the right of the Nigerian people to know the true state of health of the man they voted into power and for whose healthcare they are paying.
“We also restate our commitment to remain law abiding in the face of such constant provocation. Our right to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly are constitutional rights that we will not allow to be abrogated.”
Mr man, don't behave as if you don't know the country you are living in.
ReplyDeleteThe president has his loyalist irrespective of whether they comes out or not, they are closely watching you. Must you go to the market, has it turned to campaign? Don't you know that some other people has right to peaceful atmosphere which you are polluting?
Having passed your message for days, don't you think it is right you halt it except you want hoodlums to highjack it? Is it then you expect government to keep quiet so that they will not be accused of clamping down on opposition? Mr man, you are 66 years old now and no more a youth, Buhari is just 7 years older than you and so you are his age mate, you know the country is sensitive to issues now based on ethno-religiuos-tribal phenomenon.
Your message is heard enough and it is supposed to be ok except you are truly sponsored by some elements who are not yet satisfied and still pushing to achieve certain target. Be wise and do not create bad history for your self.
Imagine: the zoo police protects Pro-Buhari foolish protesters but the anti-Buhari protesters are being gassed and attacked by police. Where is the democracy under tyrant and fascist Buhari surrounded by terrorist zoo police, army, etc.? Nigeria is going down – no matter what these useless people do in this corrupt, lawless and failed Nigeria.
