The President of Arewa Youth
Grand Alliance (AYGA), Alhaji Inuwa Idris, has advised the youths to exercise
caution and avoid any temptation that will make them cultivate a culture of
destruction and disrespect for community values.
Idris gave the advice in a
statement yesterday following uncomplimentary remarks on the Katsina Emirate,
former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and Dr. Usman Bugaje by the Secretary
General of Katsina State Progressive Youth Alliance, Abdullahi Marusa.
Marusa had called both Atiku and
Bugaje “political opportunists” and opposed the stand of Katsina Emirate on the
Igbo quit notice.
The AYGA president described the
remarks as “incredibly callous, ridiculous, uncharitable and unbecoming” of
someone from the North where the youths hold leaders and constituted authority
in high esteem.
